What would you do as a Clinical Manager?

The Clinic Manager is responsible for ensuring successful day-to-day clinical operations and delivery of high-quality clinical services at ROC, for the assigned department(s), including managing employees, resolving issues and complaints, and ensuring effective patient experience. You can expect to regularly:

Overall

  • Manage and lead direct reports in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws to include interviewing, orienting, hiring and training employees, appraising performance, addressing employee complaints and resolving problems;
  • Manage direct reports by motivating, inspiring, and supporting staff to a higher level of engagement, productivity, and improved operations while leading by example;
  • Assess teams overall function, operations, and patient care and execute changes as needed (systems, process, procedure, etc.) to maximize effectiveness and efficiency;
  • Implement long term plans, new services, Quality Assessment plans, and other strategies;
  • Provide training and other educational and development opportunities including new policies, procedures, or standards;
  • Resolve escalated situations including complaints from patients and direct reports;
  • Use Electronic Health Records to pull reports and review data;
  • Develop and maintain effective communication within the organization;
  • Collaborate with other supervisor level staff within the organization;
  • Be a champion and a positive change agent for the organization’s mission, vision, guiding principles and initiatives.

Clinic Services

  • Lead the streamlining of internal clinical processes to maximize efficiency, improve consistency in implementation of clinical protocols, and ensure staff is operating at the top of their scope of practice;
  • Educate on regulatory standards and practices, ensuring standards are met and issues are reported;
  • Monitor established operating plans and profitability goals, and ensure goals are maintained;
  • Provide physicians and staff with the resources and services necessary to meet the needs of patients by address physician and clinic staff concerns and problems related to back office clinical procedures;
  • Ensure patients receive clinical excellence, ethical treatment, professional integrity, and compassionate care; in a way that complements the mission of our clinic;
  • Promote and support proper documentation in compliance with federal, state and plan guidelines and regulations;
  • Contribute to the overall success of the clinic through participation in and support of cross-functional activities, communications, processes, policies, protocols, and best practices;

Requirements

  • Certifications/Education
    • GED/High School Diploma equivalent
  • Experience
    • Two years’ managing and leading teams in a healthcare environment, including planning, organizing and directing work to meet organizational goals;
    • Large physician group;
    • Deescalating tense situations with customers;
    • Communicating effectively with all levels of employees (professional staff, managerial staff, front line staff, etc.) to resolve issues and concerns;
    • Using computer systems and applications, including Microsoft Office, and Electronic Health Records.

Preferred Qualifications - How can you set yourself apart from other applicants?

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration or closely related field;
  • Two years’ performing an orthopedic specialty relevant clinical position providing direct patient care with working knowledge of health care practices.

Work Environment

Physical: The noise level is usually moderate.

Travel: May require travel to and from other clinic locations
