Job Description

Security Risk Advisors is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated candidate to join our Business Operations Team as Accountant. The Accountant will work with our Accounting Team on critical financial functions, maintaining records, and developing our accounting systems and procedures, with a focus on accounts receivable.

Requirements

Essential Functions

  • Client interactions and support.

  • Assist Senior Accountant with:
    • Month-end closing.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Demands

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This is a remote role, but if the candidate hired is local to Philadelphia or Rochester, we would expect presence in the office 1-2 days per week.

Required Education and Experience

  • Punctuality and timely attendance to external client and internal stakeholder needs.
  • 1-2 years general accounting experience within a business environment.
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct a plus.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Residence in Eastern time zone preferred.
  • Highly detail oriented.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks and projects.
  • Able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
