Job Description

Penn Psychiatric Center is a Community Mental Health Facility and certified minority owned business, in Collegeville at 3774 Ridge Pike and Phoenixville Office at 601 Gay Street. Penn Psychiatric Center offers a wide array of services and programs that are recovery focused and allow the patients to feel that they are heard, receiving treatment that is specific to their needs, and allows them to be an active guidance in their treatment planning process. PPC is looking for an organized and ethically minded individual to manage human resource and compliance duties. Position allows for room for growth within the organization.

Human Resources Role:

Responsible performing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of all Human Resources related functions. Liaisons closely between management and other departments throughout the organization to provide effective Human Resources support to achieve the organizational goals and objectives.

  • Liaisons between management and employees regarding employee relations issues.
  • Coaches and assists managers regarding performance issues and disciplinary actions.
  • Assists and makes suggestions to management in establishing or changing policies relating to staff and communicates changes or new policies appropriately.
  • Enter new hires and process updates to the payroll system.
  • Annual health insurance and benefits review and recommendations.
  • Conducts new hire orientation and paperwork for employees and independent contractors.
  • Tracks performance evaluation and contract renewal process.
  • Handles unemployment documentation and company representation.
  • Provides assistance to managers and employees to ensure accurate job descriptions are in place for established and newly created positions.
  • Manages sensitive and confidential matters relating to employee relations and organizational changes, planning and protecting the security of information, data and files.
  • Responds to various queries from managers, employees, applicants, and from other agencies or departments.
  • Ensure employee records and files are up-to-date by handling changes in employee status in a timely manner.

Compliance Role:

Maintains quality compliance by conducting audits and developing improvement plans. Responsible for monitoring health and human services program operations for compliance with federal and state regulations and standards in order to promote health and safety and ensure that services are delivered properly. Reduces organizational risk, investigates and resolves compliance related issues.

  • Maintain compliance with all Penn Psychiatric Center’s Policies and Procedures, CARF, and State regulations.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, or investigations of quality and utilization of services and evaluate the impact of deficiencies in current processes or the adherence to current processes on quality and work with associated departments to rectify issues.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with funding sources: county, MHMR’s, other providers and community agencies and groups.
  • Assist in the coordination of corrective actions/plans that affect programmatic operations (e.g., changes to policies, or procedures).
  • Investigates complaints, documents, and manages corrective action reports and reports findings to governmental agencies where required.
  • Analyze results of annual consumer satisfaction survey and makes changes to programs with approval.
  • Conduct safety drills/maintain safety documentation.
  • Develop/distribute staff/client survey, analyze data for ongoing reports.
  • Completion of Quality Calls
  • Complete other projects as directed

Requirements

Competencies Required:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical decision making
  • Solid technical knowledge of MS Office products and Windows platforms
  • Background or Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record Systems a plus

Education:

High School Diploma required. College degree preferred or equivalent work experience. Degrees in counseling, social work, psychology or closely related discipline a plus.

Experience:

Two to Three years of previous administrative experience. Medical facility experience preferred, mental health facility experience a plus. Knowledge of regulations and standards for outpatient mental health clinics a plus.

Benefits

  • Full time 40hour/week position
  • Flexibility in working hours with the ability to dictate how 40hours allotted, requirement only that working hours must occur when facility open (Mon-Thurs 8:30-8 and Friday 8:30-5)
