Are you passionate about placing people in roles that play to their strengths? Do you enjoy the pursuit of the perfect candidate? If so, Apex Wheels has just the position for you. We are looking for an outgoing and organized Recruiter to help scale the Apex Team.
Apex designs and distributes lightweight motorsport wheels for driving enthusiasts and racers alike. We are a team of die-hard enthusiasts, passionate artisans, and creative go-getters who are singularly obsessed with honing our craft. We have some lofty goals for the growth of Apex in 2024 and beyond, so we will need to add rockstars and superstars throughout our team to stay on track. You don’t need to be a motorsports enthusiast to perform well in this position, but you do need to be passionate about recruitment and committed to finding the best fit for every vacancy. This is a fully remote position that can be done from anywhere in the contiguous USA, with a few trips a year to our Pleasanton, CA headquarters.
Working under the direction of our HR Manager, and in partnership with various department heads, your primary responsibility is to fill our open vacancies with the ideal candidates. You’ll actively and passively source candidates who have the right technical skills, the right soft skills, and who display the ability to fully embrace the culture of Apex. You need to have demonstrable experience filling multiple positions promptly - and we don’t just want to fill our ATS with the noise of a high volume of applications. We’re looking for the most passionate and well-qualified candidates. To us, the right fit is the difference between absolutely smashing our goals or spinning our wheels and losing traction.
In times of lower-volume recruitment, you will also provide Generalist level support to the HR Manager, but your core function is recruitment. You’ll play a role in shaping how Apex attracts and retains talent by iteratively improving the candidates' hiring and onboarding experience. You will create a great candidate experience by providing timely responses to applicants, delivering difficult news in a compassionate but direct manner, and making (and negotiating) offers to selected candidates. You’ll design and implement a process that is on-brand to show appreciation to candidates who dedicate their time and attention to Apex but are ultimately not selected. This role will require a high degree of organization to keep stakeholders and candidates informed of vacancy statuses, and to ensure that each open position is properly prioritized and that tangible progress is made.
How to apply: In your cover letter, please be sure to tell us about the most challenging vacancy you’ve filled in the last year. What made it challenging and how did you change up your game to find the perfect fit?
