Job Description

THIS POSITION IS 100% ON-SITE IN GERMANTOWN, MARYLAND.

Global Engineering and Technology (GET) is looking for a highly qualified SeniorAdministrative Assistant to support senior staff at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) facility in Germantown, Maryland. This is a permanent position as a full-time employee with benefits and will require 100% on-site work (no remote work).

The Senior Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in the work products produced in a classified environment and will be responsible for:

  • Performing general administrative support to ensure timely, effective, and professional responsiveness to customers
  • Conducting quality control reviews of administrative work products
  • Tracking actions sent to other program offices and other government agencies and interfacing with the entities to facilitate resolution of correspondence comments
  • Training and coordinating other administrative support personnel ensuring they can produce accurate and timely products
  • Properly handling classified and sensitive documents

Compensation Range: $85,000 - $110,000 / Year (depending on qualifications)

Requirements

Security Clearance:

Applicants MUST possess a current Top Secret security clearance or DoE Q security clearance.

Skills amp; Experience:
  • This position requires at least 5 years of experience performing senior administrative duties
  • The candidate must have a highly established understanding of Federal Government office correspondence requirements; familiarity with the Office of the Executive Secretariat Correspondence Style Guide is highly desirable
  • Experience with the marking, handling, and storage of classified documents is required
  • Must possess strong writing and analytical skills and have the ability to work independently
  • Experience with the most recent versions of office correspondence software (Microsoft Office products), the use of email, the Internet, and manual and electronic filing systems is required
  • Must be capable of occasionally lifting and moving boxes containing archived documents weighing up to 30 pounds each.
  • Although not mandatory, detailed knowledge of the DOE classification program including the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 as amended, Executive Order 13526, and DOE security orders is highly desirable
Education amp; Training:
  • The individual must have earned a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Military or other government agency training in related areas of responsibility is highly desirable
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly desirable
