About the Role:
Quizlet is looking for a creative and data-driven Sr. Manager, Growth Marketing, to own our efforts to grow our global user base of active users both domestically and internationally and our monetization efforts around subscriptions through our paid channels. You’ll build a strategy and execute campaigns, and experiment with paid acquisition, SEO, product optimizations, and new channels, too. In addition to managing the overall acquisition strategy, you’ll work with product marketing on customer insights, community on opportunities for grassroots growth, and other departments to drive new initiatives to launch.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle offices. In this role, you will:
  • Develop and execute user and subscriber acquisition strategy to drive user growth, registrations and subscriptions in partnership with marketing, product, and engineering teams
  • Manage a performance agency and oversee a multi-million dollar paid media budget, while effectively balancing acquisition and brand building efforts across all channels (digital, traditional and emerging platforms) both domestically and abroad
  • Lead the Direct Response discipline, in partnership with Quizlet’s analytics and finance teams, to develop and maintain best-in-class attribution models to measure, report and optimize a media mix to cost-effectively acquire new users and subscribers
  • Own the development, testing, and creative optimization for campaign messaging to achieve awareness and acquisition objectives (with design team support)
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Lifecycle Marketing, and Communications teams to plan, develop, and execute coordinated campaigns across owned, earned and paid channels
  • Develop and execute paid and non-paid campaigns to drive international user growth through media, partnerships and SEO
What you bring to the table:
  • 12+ years working in digital marketing with at least 8 spent in paid media
  • A proven track record of influencing key stakeholders inside and outside of the marketing organization, building relationships with product teams, and navigating roadblocks independently with an ownership mentality
  • Deep understanding of funnels, conversions, CAC/LTV, and the levers to pull to drive growth with a focus on acquisition and activation
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong knowledge of Google Analytics and data manipulation tools (SQL + Excel)
  • Excellent accountability to implement and represent all Direct Response strategies to the company through strategic planning decks, quarterly goals (OKRs), and occasionally all company updates
  • Proven experience creating and managing paid marketing campaigns from start to finish, presenting the results to a VP or C-Suite audience, and fielding challenging questions on the fly to defend your strategy
  • Experience strategizing, building, executing, and analyzing geo-exclusion tests to measure the incremental impact of paid media campaigns for a specific audience
  • Deep knowledge of Google Ads and Facebook Ads platforms, with the ability to forecast future spending and manage hundreds of campaigns at scale efficiently and effectively
  • Record of developing and executing A/B tests, analyzing and translating the findings into business and consumer insights
  • Experience writing briefs for creative teams that include detailed tactics to reach a Gen Z audience
  • Background with working cross-functionally with product, product Marketing, Analytics, and Data Sci
