Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Traffic Engineer in Cincinnati, OH.
Responsibilities:
- Provide traffic engineering design for a variety of LPA, DOT and private clients
- Produce and review traffic impact studies, safety studies, and traffic forecasting
- Establishes guidelines for cost estimates. Reviews and approves estimates prepared by others.
- May function as Project Manager - demonstrating strong team, communication, and organization abilities.
- Frequently functions as a subject matter expert.
- Assure project understanding, approach, and technology fully addresses client, regulatory, and best practices technical issues.
- Independently develop projects. May be assigned as subject matter expert.
Requirements
- 7+ years’ experience as a Traffic Engineer
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, required
- Ohio PE License, required. P.T.O.E. preferred.
- Road Safety Professional is a plus.
- MicroStation/Geopak/OpenRoads and/or AutoCad/Civil 3D
- Other design-related software such as SignCad and AutoTurn
- HCS, Synchro/Simtraffic, VISSIM, TransModeler, SIDRA, Rodel
- Travel demand modeling is a plus
- Basic or advanced GIS capabilities desired.
- Knowledge of MUTCD policies and procedures.
- Must have strong communication skills and be team-oriented
