Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Water Resources Engineer in Raleigh, NC.
Responsibilities:
- Completion of calculations, reports and plans in support of Water Resource related projects including SWM, erosion and sediment control and drainage design.
- Designing open and closed storm drain systems and developing stormwater management systems.
- Hydrology and hydraulics modeling of open channels, floodplains, and bridge hydraulics.
- Production of construction plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Obtain permit approvals from state and local agencies.
- Coordinate internally with other engineers on a wide variety of projects.
- Coordinate externally with clients and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure project deliverables are complete, meet client requirements, and follow QA/QC procedures.
Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Equivalent
- Professional Engineer license preferred; Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) Exam required
- Minimum 5 years of water resources related experience including design
- Strong MicroStation/Geopak/InRoads/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D skills.
- Hydrology and hydraulic modeling experience (PC-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, and similar)
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices of related technical areas.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently or within project teams.
- Team-spirited, focused and able to make independent decisions.
- Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills, both written and verbal
