What We're Looking For:

PSQ Productions is seeking an experienced Event Operations Director to join our dynamic team and oversee the operational aspects of our events. As the Event Operations Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of all event logistics, including venue management, vendor coordination, budget management, and onsite operations. You will work closely with clients, senior management and your team of direct and indirect reports to ensure that all aspects of the event are executed flawlessly, creating memorable experiences for our attendees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all logistical aspects of event planning and execution, including venue selection and management, equipment and supplies procurement, vendor coordination, staffing, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Event Programming Director, Marketing team, and other key departments to ensure seamless integration of operations with overall event vision and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure high-quality services and competitive pricing.
  • Create and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
  • Coordinate all event setup and breakdown activities, including staging, seating, signage, and technical requirements.
  • Build and lead a high-performing operations team and provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the Senior Operations Manager, Operations Manager, Crew Supervisor, and Crew members.
  • Support growth by identifying areas for improvement and offering resources to enhance skills
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, permits, and licenses.
  • Collaborate with external partners, such as local authorities and emergency services, to ensure a safe and successful event.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement changes for future events.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in event operations to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with venues, suppliers, and service providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business or 5 years experience in related field.
  • Proven experience in event operations and logistics, preferably in large-scale events.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various members of our team.
