Phoenix Home Care is adding a Home Health Billing Specialist to our Springfield, Mo team!!

Responsibilities

  • Submit Claims in a timely manner according to payer regulations.
  • Recognize and update prebilling errors.
  • Ensure proper follow up using AR reports, EOB's and or other correspondence.
  • Recognize Payment errors and ensure proper follow up using AR, EOB and/or other correspondence.
  • Abide by HIPPA regulations.
  • Communicate well with peers and administration
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Previous experience in billing/collections or medical payer rules preferred.
  • Self motivated.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Multi tasking and organized.
  • Willing to take on new tasks.
  • Operate standard office equipment.
  • Basic bookkeeping skills.
  • Must have a minimum basic knowledge of keyboarding, personal computers, and Microsoft Office (including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook).
  • Must be strong in customer service.
  • Must have a strong phone etiquette with the ability to communicate well; both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be reliable, have a great attitude, and possess a strong work-ethic.
  • Must be detailed, accurate, organized and have the ability to multi-task.
