Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments virtually using specialized software designed exclusively for teletherapy purposes
- Facilitate one-on-one therapy sessions via webcam utilizing evidence-based techniques adapted appropriately into digital formats suitable for online interactions
- Attend regular meetings via conference call or web chat platform to discuss patient progress and plan next steps alongside colleagues
- Participate in continuous education opportunities focused on best practices within digital counseling services
- Contribute ideas aimed at enhancing program effectiveness while adhering to regulatory requirements governing telemedicine operations
Requirements
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field from an accredited institution
- Active license/certification appropriate for providing psychotherapeutic treatment within the state of California (LCMHC, LCSW, or LMFT)
- Minimum two years of experience working directly with individuals facing emotional difficulties (preferred but not required)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills essential when engaging remotely through virtual platforms like Zoom or Skype
