As Senior Director of Data Science amp; Solutions at Assembly, you will be responsible for leading our North American data and data science team efforts as we improve marketing ROI for our client portfolio of leading brands across verticals. This role will define strategic direction, communicate it to the organization, and deliver the solutions that meet our agency and client needs.

You are both an effective leader of data science team talent and a data pro with strong analytical and statistical capabilities who enjoys developing and scaling audience and measurement solutions. You will support a data-driven consultancy team that leverages data science, marketing automation and advanced analytical tools to deliver solutions for driving media efficiencies and effectiveness. The role requires a combination of creativity and strategic thinking, as well as strong analytical, technical, managerial, and delivery skills.

What you'll do:

  • Operationalize our Executive Management Team’s strategic plan to adapt effective media measurement solutions to the evolving ad tech / martech landscape.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for data science amp; data solutions across the agency
  • Lead teams and deliver projects employing marketing analytics and data science approaches to help clients better understand their customer and to inform media strategies that improve engagement and ROI.
  • Use your data and analytics expertise (SQL, Python, R, Amazon Athena, Google Cloud Platform) to define, develop and deliver solutions in close collaboration with agency and client teams.
  • Lead the data science team in the data sourcing and development of data science components to key agency products (including stack / toolkit development).
  • Lead key relationships in the data space with data vendors (such as Transunion), tech providers (such as LiveRamp), and media partners (such as Google Ads Data Hub and other clean room tech)
  • Continue development of our 1P data-based audience solution through data sourcing, segmentation, modeling, and measurement.
  • Support new business development and cross-sell opportunities by designing solutions, creating the story, and delivering the final presentation.

Requirements

Skills amp; knowledge you should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree with coursework in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, related quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years’ experience in digital media and performance measurement capacities, preferably agency-side
  • 6+ years of experience developing and executing media performance measurement strategies and ‘test and learn’ plans, preferably in Ecommerce and performance marketing.
  • 4+ years managing teams who perform queries on and model large media datasets (eg impression log files, CRM databases, website event data) and distilling insights that inform acquisition marketing strategies.
  • Motivated and intellectually curious. Eager to find the answers to the questions buried in the data and communicate them clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in SQL, programming in R and/or Python.
  • Experience with Media Mix Modeling process, methodology and project implementation
  • Confidence to present complex analyses to executives and field emergent questions in consultative manner using relatable terminology over jargon.
  • Strong familiarity with digital platform landscape, tracking methodologies and outputs for Google Marketing Platform, Facebook, Trade Desk and similar.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
  • Strong Google background preferred: GMP, GCP, Ads Data Hub
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Team leader that wants to grow in the organization and enjoys the soft skills as well as technical skills
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States
