Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Tier 1.5 Field Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support to our clients, ensuring the smooth operation of their IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site visits to clients' locations to provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner, escalating more complex issues to Tier 2 support as needed.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, routers, and other peripherals.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their IT needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry best practices, during all on-site visits.
- Document all work performed, including troubleshooting steps, solutions implemented, and any relevant client communication.
- Provide training and guidance to clients on the use of IT systems and applications.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role, providing on-site technical support to clients.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite, as well as experience with Mac OS and Linux systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service and building positive client relationships.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as this role requires travel to client sites up to 5 times a week.
