Job Description

The National Western Center (NWC) is a reimagined 250-acre campus in Denver, Colorado with a vision to be the global destination for food and agricultural discovery. The opportunity:

NWC is in search of a Facility Manager that can be ready on day one to be able to jump in on multiple fronts. This job will be managing the campus’s various buildings and equipment with asset management software. Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, the Facility Manager will work closely with all operations staff to set up SOP of tracking assets and preventative and corrective maintenance, setting and managing inventory and par ordering levels with managers and staff. Oversee all operational software upgrades and planning, assist with IT plans and oversight, they will support policies, goals, and objectives established by the COO.

What you will do:

Facilities and Venue Management

  • Tracking of Campus/Venue operational assets and end of life, replacement plans and maintenance, contributing to Capital Improvement Program needs and planning.
  • Produce diagrams using CAD program per submitted requirements, update all building and campus building and infrastructure plans with any additional projects as completed and have a campus/building plan storage, access and audit plan.
  • Oversee the operational inventory and ordering plans, working with operations departments to have the efficiency in ordering and storage.
  • Work with all departments to track and plan for capital projects, equipment needs and input with key departments to do budget recommendations.
  • Attending all infrastructure and asset meetings.
  • Monitor all technological needs, implementation of operational software, keeping licenses and certifications current. Assist with event technology requirements and communications.
  • Ongoing review of campus plans, protocols, and assets, making sure that are reactive, corrective, and preventative maintenance measures are current, trained and tracked.
  • Prepare and participate in all new building and project commissioning and punch walks, making sure all information is correct and as we have recorded or is designed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What you will bring along:

  • 5 years of industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in area applicable to facility management or the convention/entertainment industries; or proven relevant experience in the field.
  • Knowledge and understanding of facility software for operations and be able to quickly pick up on new software, integration’s and coordinating updates, upgrades, or changes.
  • Knowledge of building asset management process and reporting.
  • Knowledge and application of fire codes to draft floor plans and to build campus storage plans.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High EQ and interpersonal skills.

Work location and hours:

This position can be performed through a mix of on-site and remote work in Denver, Colorado.
