Leading wine and spirits distributor, M.S. Walker, is seeking a general worker for their fast-paced manufacturing facility. The Production Line Associate will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of machinery and or equipment to include but not be limited to uncasing, case packing, sealing, coding, labeling, palletizing and the warehousing of our manufactured goods.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate machinery and equipment associated with cold fill bottling and packaging lines: uncaser, unscrambler, case packer, inkjet shipper coding equipment, case labeling equipment, case sealing equipment and palletizing equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by maintaining proper housekeeping: clean-up and re-packaging of glass breakage, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and other tasks related to general sanitation
- Operate standing forklift, sitting forklift, electrical jack, manual hand jack, and other forms of powered equipment as deemed necessary to accomplish work tasks
- Management of label room and label room inventory
- Accurately sort, verify, receive and inventory labels used in production
- Responsible for the accurate supply of labels to bottling lines in correlation with production schedule
- Sort, receive, verify the accuracy inventory labels on racks, shelves and bins
- Lift up to 150 cases plus per shift with up to a weight limit maximum of 75 pounds per case frequently
- Work in a safe and efficient manner adhering to OSHA compliant standards and Federal/State regulations
- Comply with M.S Walker, Inc. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards
- Accomplish other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- 1 3 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or warehousing environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work and think independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to work well as part of a team and be willing to work overtime when necessary
- Ability to adapt quickly to technology (i.e. operational HMI controls)
- Solid verbal, written, and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours), walk, bend, squat, sit and lift overhead repetitively
- Stand and walk for long periods of time on hard concrete surfaces (8-10 hours)
- Computer skills a plus
