Goodyear Belts by Adventry Corp. is looking for an experienced Cutting Machine Operator to join our production team. As a cutting machine operator, you will have the responsibility of setting up, operating, and maintaining cutting machines to slit industrial belting to specific widths. Your role will be critical in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality Goodyear Power Transmission Belts.
Responsibilities
- Set up cutting machines according to specified job requirements
- Operate cutting machines to slit industrial belting to correct widths
- Inspect end-products to ensure they meet quality standards and observe pre-defined tolerances
- Perform machine troubleshooting and minor repairs as needed
- Assist with machine repairs and preventive maintenance
- Contribute to the improvement of production processes
- Perform regular inspections and cleaning of machines and work area
- Complete required job tracking forms and production data entry
- Follow established safety guidelines for safe machine operation
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cutting machine operator or similar role
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications
- Proficient in using measuring equipment such as a tape measure and micrometer
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills for data entry
- Ability to lift rolls of raw materials and finished products up to 75 pounds
- Excellent attention to detail and strong mathematical skills
- Ability to stand and operate the machine for extended periods of time
- Basic understanding of machine functions and troubleshooting
- Valid driver's license for operating equipment within the warehouse
- Operate warehouse equipment: forklift, order picker, reach truck and pallet jack, etc., on daily basis.
- Knowledge of NetSuite, Pacejet and RF Smart preferable.
