Job Description
ClassWallet, a leading financial technology company in the United States, is seeking to hire a State Director to join our team.
ClassWallet is the leading purchasing and reimbursement platform for public funds. It is our mission to empower public agencies to ensure that public funds reach the right people and are used for the right purpose, and help them to realize the full potential of public funds with digital wallet technology.
The State Director is focused on developing relationships with the State Department of Education and other State Agencies. This will be accomplished through current contacts and business development methods. Additionally, this person will work closely with the sales team to manage these relationships to the stage of opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Executes a plan to engage the leaders at State and Federal Agencies
- Manages/creates/expands strong relationships with State Agencies
- Manages/creates strong relationships with State Agency boards
- Educates and influences state Agencies on upcoming RFPs
- Works as sales lead on all State level RFPs
- Represents ClassWallet at State/National events
- Informs strategic partnerships and strategic opportunities
- Creates and closes state level opportunities
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience establishing relationships with, and selling to State Department of Educations and other State Agencies
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Knowledge of K12 and State level funding streams
- Knowledge of federal funding sources and ability to cultivate those sources
- Ability to travel 60%
