Fastmail is looking for a marketing intern to help us attract new customers. You’ll get to know our product to allow you to promote identified benefits and our company values by writing copy for ads, social media, and our website.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who has an interest in technology as well as being an excellent conversational and persuasive writer and who loves clarity in communications and writing with purpose.

Under the leadership of our Head of Partnerships and Marketing and Senior Podcast Producer and Marketing Specialist, you’ll work closely with our marketing team. You’ll participate in weekly marketing team meetings to get informed and share ideas.

Your job will be:

• Assisting the Head of Partnerships and Senior Podcast Producer with various copywriting needs ranging from writing blog and social media posts to assisting with podcast scripts and other online text.
• Essential to growing our customer base beyond copywriting, you’ll help manage our referral /affiliate programs and provide valuable administrative support to our marketing team.
• Provide support on storyboarding and video editing, even bringing your own ideas to life this way
• Part-time and 8 hours/week, which can be done during one full business day/week or two half days/week or nights and weekends if you have school or another job.
• Based out of our sunny offices in Center City Philadelphia with work-from-home flexibility
• During US Eastern time-zone hours
• Paid at $15/hr and capped at 8 total hours weekly
• Mid-May through mid-August, with the potential for continued part-time or even full-time work

You’re an ambitious college student or career changer who is knowledgeable about digital marketing, copywriting, social media, and advertising and has an interest in technology . Beyond good grammar, you are able to attract people with your engaging writing.

You'll be successful if you are innovative, passionate about learning, and results-oriented. It would be a great bonus if you are excited about some aspect of our business, be it technology, email, productivity, digital privacy, or working on human-centric products.

An ideal candidate is:

• Effective at writing marketing copy that’s creative, engaging, and gets results
• Adaptable to changes in the news, projects, and ad targeting
• Curious about our product and ask great questions
• Willing to take the initiative and solve problems resourceful in gathering background information to aid your copy-writing
• Able to prioritize tasks
• A great team player
• Available for part-time work and can use your own computer
