POSITION SUMMARY

The Child Nutrition Program Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of all feeding programs including Child and Adult Care Food Programs (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Programs (SFSP). They will manage the day to day program operations of these two programs and ensure that adequate controls and systems are in place to comply with contractual obligations to execute these programs. This includes training, supervising and evaluating program team members; overseeing the management and maintenance of program documentation, budget monitoring, tracking, and administration; ensuring program compliance and financial performance through effective management of meal tracking; and, support with vendor management. They will work with the team to proactively develop and maintain relationships and partnerships to strengthen and/or expand the program to meet objectives. The Program Manager will support other CitySquare programs as needed and take a leadership role to ensure CitySquare complies with all Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) regulations.

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

This section describes the primary responsibilities of an employee in this position. Please note: The primary responsibilities of this position are not limited to this list.

1. Recruits, trains, manages and evaluates all child nutrition program staff and work collaboratively with CitySquare AmeriCorps to ensure Child Nutrition program is managed appropriately and efficiently.

2. Manages daily operations of partner sites with Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and partner and mobile sites with Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) effectively and efficiently and in compliance with Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) regulations.

3. Updates and maintains current knowledge of policy changes and works with the quality compliance coordinator to implement as required.

4. Consistently strives to identify and adopt best practices to positively impact processes and outcomes.

5. Oversees the compliance coordinator and provides guidance for meal tracking review and reporting requirements including manual reporting or Link2Feed online meal reporting/ordering system; month end reconciliation; and TDA reimbursement process.

6. Partners with Sr. Director to ensure programmatic data is reporting for CitySquare.

7. Collaborates with Sr. Director to manage operational relationships and communications between CitySquare, partner feeding sites and food service management company including accurate and timely meal orders and deliveries with a focus on minimizing waste; facilitating all detailed site requirements to meet expectations; and handling any other food distribution logistics. Ensure any after business hours operational needs are met.

8. Directs and manages recruitment and retention of partner and mobile meal program sites including ongoing relationship building. Works proactively to develop and maintain relationships and partnerships to strengthen and/or expand the program to meet objectives.

9. Oversees sponsor and site application approval, reporting and administration process on Texas Unified Nutrition Program System (TX-UNPS)

10. Prepares staff training materials, standard operating procedures, handbook maintenance, as well as overseeing the scheduling, conducting and documenting all required program training in compliance with TDA regulations.

11. Ensures all program documentation is compiled and maintained, including site monitoring documentation and follow up is conducted in compliance with TDA regulations.

12. Assists with all sponsor and site application approval, reporting and administration process on Texas Unified Nutrition Program System (TX-UNPS).

13. Manages all food service management company requirements including vendor reviews, month end reconciliations, menu review/feedback and document management/retention.

14. Maintains and models a high level of service quality at all times to ensure efficient and effective performance.
