Job Description

The Child Nutrition Quality Compliance Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Program Manager with the compliance of all feeding programs including Child and Adult Care Food Programs (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Programs (SFSP). They will coordinate program operations including administrative tasks for all sites, training site and program staff, program compliance, and internal/external audits, maintaining program documentation, oversight of meal tracking system and procurement; conducting and documenting site monitoring visits to ensure full compliance with program guidelines; supervise and retrain site staff, as needed. They will ensure CitySquare complies with all government and other contracts and continues to be good stewards of funds designated to the programs.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: One (1) year experience in a business setting, non-profit/government setting preferred. CACFP and/or SFSP experience preferred.

Additional Requirements: Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Be willing to work a flexible schedule as occasionally there is work performed either late evening or early morning.

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

This section describes the primary responsibilities of an individual in this position. Please note that the primary responsibilities of this position are not limited to this list.

1. Maintain multiple database systems in the Child Nutrition program. Modify as necessary; troubleshoot problems. Ensure information in meal tracking system (e.g., Link2Feed), FSMC ordering system is accurate and easily retrievable by others who require access.

2. Actively involved in training program staff and site staff by providing information training sessions to increase knowledge and keep staff informed of all Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) rules and regulations.

3. Conduct required site visits for all Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and/ or Child amp; Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) sites in compliance with TDA contract agreement.

4. In coordination with Program Manager, review and determine appropriate corrective action to bring site staff participants in compliance with TDA program guidelines and communicate appropriately with site staff.

5. Provide data entry, data tracking and data reporting; assist in the preparation and submission of claims and distribution of correspondence to FSMC regarding any meal issues from program sites.

6. Monitors the Food for Good Meal tracking system and daily meal tracking system to ensure accurate and timely filling of all ordered and claimed meals.

7. Completes monthly compliance checks of the Child Nutrition Program to ensure that program files meet all regulatory requirements. Reports findings to Program Manager and Sr. Director of Health and Food.

8. Supports in the maintenance and ongoing updating of standard operating procedures and record retention

9. Assist with retraining site supervisors on how to order meals, conduct meal counts, input meals correctly into meal tracking system and other compliance standards implemented by TDA.

10. Provide required documentation and/or reports of site visits, corrective actions, and any issues regarding the CACFP/SFSP program and/or sites to the Program Manager in a timely and accurate manner.

11. Assist Lead Mobile Specialist with SFSP onboarding compliance activities, including but not limited to, DMV checks, auto compliance, etc.

12. Verify contact information and/or any site information and communicate any necessary changes with the Program Manager to ensure office and TDA records are updated.

13. Conduct any follow-up monitoring to ensure corrective actions have been fully implemented, if necessary.

14. Assist with addressing program compliance questions or issues, as needed. Communicate any open questions or issues with the Program Manager.

15. Stay up to date and current on all training, correspondence and communication offered by ESC Region 10 and TDA.

16. Assist with any other tasks, as requested.

17. Attend required site monitor training and site supervisor training.

18. Maintain and model a high level of service quality at all times to ensure efficient and effective performance.

SALARY RANGE : $46,000- $48,000
