Position: Shop Manager

We are looking for a dynamic Shop Manager responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Headquarter based Shop. Responsibilities include technician management, maintenance operations of all solids control assets, and supervising shipping amp; receiving functions ensuring the fleet’s readiness achieves the Company’s goals. Additionally, incumbent is responsible for ensuring all Shop operations are accurately and timely updated in the appropriate system, prioritizing the weekly required work for their Team, and ensuring the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of all tools and facility workspaces pertaining to Shop operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations.
  • Monitor, oversee, and hold employees accountable to performance expectations.
  • Assist Shop Manager to make sure jobs are checked and pulled accurately.
  • Conduct inventory counts on Rig-Up Materials (RUM) and help maintain stock levels by ordering material on time.
  • Timely updates to the asset management system including asset movements.
  • Assist all HQ Shop employees with documentation, including Jira Story writing.
  • Accountable for all Shipping amp; Receiving operations for the HQ shop.
  • Ensure shop amp; warehouse equipment is maintained, inspected, repaired and PM/Serviced as required.]
  • Responsible for facility management including trash pickups, scrap removal, large waste removal, solid/liquid pickup, TCEQ documentation, etc.
  • Conduct inventory counts and help maintain stock levels of facility items by purchasing as required.
  • Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of facility amp; warehouse goods.
  • Purchase parts, communicate with vendors, and set up new vendors.
  • Makes sure jobs are checked and pulled accurately.
  • Supervise timely and accurate data entry for all services performed.
  • Responsible for scheduling and approving supervised employee’s timecards and vacation requests.
  • Collaborate with Sales amp; Engineering to determine future fleet requirements and needs.
  • Collaborate with Continuous Improvement Managers to further enhance 5S initiatives throughout all Shop workstations and processes.
  • Full adherence to health and safety policy and procedures.
  • Technical Advisement of current ST, PT, CT for internal promotion.
  • Actively participates in Jira Admin for the Shop: Houston SCRUM Team.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully motivating and managing diverse teams and driving results.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, create reports, make informed decisions, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Problem-solving aptitude, with the ability to make sound judgments and quick decisions during emergencies and crises.
  • Ability to lead a SCRUM Team and understanding of all the SCRUM processes.
  • Atlassian Jira, work management software, training/experience is desired.
  • Experience with 5S understanding/implementation, is preferred.

Minimum Required Education, Credentials, Licenses and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, or GED equivalent, required.
  • 2 year associate degree in business, Management, or Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or similar field, from an accredited school, is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Management, or Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or similar field, from an Accredited School, is preferred.
  • Must have a valid State issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Proven Experience (3+ years) in Operational/Shop Management role.
