We're currently looking for a Manufacturing IIoT Engineer to work with our automotive clients on the design of next generation IIoT systems.

The role involves working as a team to develop, validate, and document processes for OT infrastructure and data flow from the plant floor. The OT infrastructure connects, monitors, manages, and secures the organization's industrial operations. The successful candidate will be working on how to incorporate modern technologies into existing infrastructures with a wide range of plant floor equipment implemented over many years. The team is working to improve and update the communication of manufacturing plant floor devices aligning them with modern IIoT systems.

This is an onsite position in the Redford, MI area. Details about the role are as follows:

  • Technical
    Understand OT infrastructure.
    • Network switches configuration and setup
    • Cisco switch configuration experience plus
    • IP and SubNet mask
    • Network support
  • Cyber Security
    • OT cyber security
    • ICS experience
  • Manufacturing
    • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
    • Familiar with Siemens, Allen Bradley controllers
    • Remote terminal units (RTUs)
    • Human-machine interfaces (HMIs)
    • Distributed control systems (DCSs)
    • Internet of Things (IoT) devices
    • Edge computing - Containerized devices
  • Documentation skills
    • Technical documentation writing and clean up.
    • Review and validate -Single point lesson and validate.
  • Work Location
    Primary at research facility in Redford, Michigan On Site
    Travel to manufacturing plants and demonstrate and teach Single point lessons (SPL)
