Vector Atomic is building quantum devices for applications including GPS-free navigation and timing, geophysical exploration, and telecommunications. Vector Atomic is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team of scientists and engineers developing novel quantum sensors and navigation systems for applications including autonomous/GPS-denied navigation and geophysical exploration.
The ideal candidate will work with engineering and subject matter experts to define requirements for quantum inertial sensors, develop and manage specifications, ensure compliance of designs with applicable standards, and plan for the integration and test of systems and subsystems.

Requirements
What You'll Do:- Develop system requirements, interface definition, and system design with consideration for technical, schedule and cost criteria.
- Analyze designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications (e.g. MIL-STDs).
- Create and maintain systems engineering deliverables throughout the product life cycle (e.g. design specifications, interface documents, integration and test plans and test reports).
- Coordinate testing of systems and sub-systems including qualification testing and system integration and testing at customer facilities.
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of eight years experience in systems engineering or a related field, masters degree with six years of experience, or a PhD with three years of experience.
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related technical fields.
- Experience with system level design and testing of inertial sensors, quantum systems, or laser sensors.
- Familiarity with Produce Lifecycle Management.
- Experience with Python, C/C++, Rust, or other software languages.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and collaborators, both written and verbal.
- US export control laws require U.S. persons including U.S. citizens (born or naturalized), lawful permanent residents, and certain categories of refugees, and asylees.

Pay Range
We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, performance bonus, benefits, and equity. The pay range for this position is $125,000 to $175,000 including annual bonus. It's atypical to be hired at the top end of this range for the role, as actual pay is based on several factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience level.
