Auto Damage Claims Adjuster

Job Description
Auto Damage Claims Adjusters handle auto claims through the life-cycle including but not limited to: investigation, evaluation and claim resolution. The purpose of this position is to provide service to agents, insureds and others to ensure claims resolve accurately and timely.
Responsibilities
- Investigate assigned claims, confirm coverage, and verify damages
- Take loss reports directly from insureds and/or claimants and/or their representatives
- Initiate initial claims handling
- Evaluate, setting and recommending reserves
- Negotiation and settlement of claims
Requirements
- Associate’s or bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3 to 5 years of experience adjusting automobile physical damage and liability claims
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills via in person, on the phone, and in electronic interactions
- Excellent understanding and skill level of claim handling and customer service
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills
- VT and NH Property amp; Casualty adjusters license or the ability to obtain licensing preferred
- Commercial Lines experience a plus
