Position Overview:

The Proposal Writer will be responsible for the research and writing of government, foundation and corporate grant requests on behalf of ICAST. Responsibilities include but are not limited to reviewing RFP’s as well as creating and submitting proposals for potential ICAST programs.

Requirements

Must Have Qualifications:

  • 3 years proposal writing experience
  • 2 years of federal grant writing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with multiple writers, partners, and editors on a given project
  • Technical writing ability, specifically experience in the renewable energy and energy efficiency space
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent research acumen
  • Proficient w/ Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)

Location: Remote in the U.S.A.

Reports to: Director of Business Development

Skill Level: Intermediate

Areas of Expertise: Proposal Writing, Grant Writing

Compensation: $60K + bonus / DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Writing Grants
  • Keep proposal team apprised of progress, pitfalls, timing delays, success in recruiting and aligning partners
  • Identify potential grant opportunities through various government and nongovernmental information service
  • Write and prepare proposals using the ICAST RFP checklist and process
  • Build relationships with ICAST partners
  • Update the business development proposal tracking sheet
  • Conduct research and data collection
