Job Description

We recognize the essential foundation of any school is its staff. To accommodate our thriving centers, we are seeking an Administrative Specialist to join our growing team!

The position of Administrative Specialist will be based out of the Action Day Schools Corporate office in San Jose, working directly for the President of the company and her senior staff. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual to takes initiative and has excellent judgment while balancing multiple priorities. The Administrative Specialist should have the ability to work independently on projects from conception to completion, work with poise under pressure, and handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. This is a huge growth opportunity for the right candidate.

Working closely alongside our President, the general responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Partnering with the President on all upcoming projects
  • Conception to completion project management
  • Calendar and meeting management for the President
  • Correspondence with internal leaders and external contacts on her behalf
  • Event planning and coordination requiring creativity and design
  • Marketing support
  • Business Development with other companies
  • Other miscellaneous responsibilities in the office

Salary: $70,000-$80,000 per year, based on individual experience, education and position requirements.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of a BA/BS degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in administrative support, customer service, or related field
  • The ability to anticipate needs and respond quickly to last minute changes with the best interest of the business in mind.
  • Strong work ethic with a go-getter attitude!
  • Strong writing skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills
  • Reliable
  • Willingness to learn and the ability to take initiative
  • Experience in Early Childhood Education, Marketing, Graphic Design, is a plus!
