Requirements

DreamHack Dallas is held May 31 - June 02, 2024 at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Centre, Dallas, Texas.
We are looking for a Community amp; Associations Lead to assist the Product Manager in creating and executing all products under the Community amp; Associations umbrella. This includes, but is not limited to, Artist Alley, Charity Corner, Chill Zone, Cosplay, Indie Playground, and all organization / government body-related products.


This is a temporary position for a period of approximately 3 months, from 1st of March to June 14th, as your role will be focused on our DreamHack event taking place in Dallas, May 31- June 2,2024.

What you’ll do

Pre-Event:

  • Analyze, and sort each Artist Alley, Indie Playground, Charity, Cosplay, and other applications that come in;
  • Communicate clearly and effectively to those applications as they receive responses: denials, waitlists, and offer letters;
  • Work through the offer process with all accepted vendors/applicants;
  • Get required information for product to add vendors to salesforce;
  • Assist product in making sure all contracts are signed before the deadline;
  • Assist product in making sure all payments are in before the deadline;
  • Assist in replacing any vendors/applicants who cannot meet deadlines;
  • Support and manage the various Camp;A discords;
  • Help product plan and integrate Quests into Camp;A Products;
  • Administrative work with Cosplay Competition including but not limited to - accepting cosplayers, scheduling competition time, and selecting cosplay staff for the festival;
  • Collect and organize badges needed for Camp;A vendors, guests, etc.
  • Assist in Product with sprint boards for Camp;A;
  • Create social posts for Camp;A products and hand-off to marketing;
  • Assist in various other needs for other Camp;A products;

During Event:

  • Travel on the Monday/Tuesday before the event, leave with the product on the Tuesday after the event;
  • Manage staff schedules and breaks;
  • Train staff on their areas;
  • Assist in Camp;A areas load-in/load-out;
  • Be main POC for staff on-site;
  • Delegate tasks to staff;
  • Resolve or report any staff issues;
  • Assist in reporting and document any codes called in Camp;A areas;
  • Report to product bi-hourly/hourly on updates with Camp;A products;

What you'll need

  • 3+ years of experience in events (preferably expo) management;
  • Strong Organizational Skills;
  • TIme Management Skills;
  • 3+ years in management or supervisory roles;
  • Experience in fast-paced environments and overseeing event staff;
  • Experience working with hired talent, guests, judges;
  • Ability to manage staff under pressure, and communicate with all stakeholders effectively;
  • Passionate for cosplay, gaming, and pop-culture;

Benefits

Temporary position for our DreamHack event in Dallas;

Payment rate: $18,000/contract
