Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, strengths, and needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals.
- Providing individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or solution-focused therapy.
- Monitoring and documenting clients' progress in therapy, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, primary care physicians, or case managers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
- Advocating for clients' rights and access to appropriate mental health services and community resources.
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards of practice as outlined by state licensing boards and professional organizations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as a LMFT in the state.
- Two (2) years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders preferred
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
- Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.
- Proven track record of delivering successful outcomes in treating mood disorders.
