Job Description

Position Summary

The Recruiter is responsible for providing corporate recruitment and field recruitment support to the business. This role will achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates and management of the internal development process; advising managers, managing recruiting processes and maintaining recruiting documentation. This role will support companywide human resources programs, policies and processes throughout the on boarding, training and employment process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct full cycle recruiting to include constructing and placing job postings and advertisements, screening of resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews, developing interview questionnaires.
  • Identify the best talent pools through various recruitment methods, networks and social media.
  • Effectively screen candidates for suitability via resume reviews and phone screenings.
  • Continually improve recruitment process to ensure a pleasant experience for hiring managers and candidates.
  • Assist with the development of job descriptions, hiring criteria and interview guides.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to thoroughly understand hiring plans, job requirements and work with them to draft appropriate job advertisements.
  • Act as liaison between hiring manager and candidates, assisting with scheduling and coordination of interviews, along with pre-employment assessments, as needed.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to clarify job requirements and build a strong working relationship.
  • Mentor hiring managers on appropriate legal hiring/interviewing practices and procedures.
  • Act as an ambassador of the LSamp;S brand in all interactions with potential candidates by presenting the company as an employer of choice in its targeted markets.
  • Grow and maintain personal/professional networks to enhance recruiting efforts by establishing a presence in relevant professional groups and associations.
  • Maintain correspondence, interview notes, applicant forms and candidate status in recruiting files/records, as well as in our applicant tracking system.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all company hiring efforts to include compliance with Title VII, OFCCP, ADA EEOC regulations, and regulations pertaining to government contracting.

Requirements

An individual should possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed and meet the amount of education, training and/or work experience

  • 5+ years of recruitment experience in an internal, agency, or retail environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-player mentality with the strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deadline driven and execution skills.
  • Familiarity with automation of HR Information Systems including Applicant Tracking Systems and Onboarding processes
  • Keep up to date with current employment legislation and ensure that supervisors are effectively briefed on any relevant changes
  • Possess the ability to provide routine/ad hoc reports and requested information related to recruiting metrics to the HRVP on a regular basis

  • Contributes to a positive, ethical and respectful working environment and communicates openly with others
  • MS Office Suite, the use of Excel is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time and to maintain focus on projects such as computer screens or detailed paperwork.
  • Occasionally lift, push/pull, hold/carry of items weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds such as files, books, and other materials.
  • Travel up to 20%.
