Our client, a remote-friendly gaming startup, is seeking a Senior Unreal Engineer to join their passionate team. This is an awesome opportunity to join a team building an incredibly exciting (and fully funded) game in Unreal!

Responsibilities

• Experiment with game design, use rapid prototyping while ensuring that strong architectural and algorithmic decisions are made
• Work closely with art and design teams to create/iterate on gameplay features
• Prototype/iterate on features, be willing to accept/respond to critical feedback
• Support technical excellence across multiple platforms
• Optimize/fix bugs in existing systems
• Contribute ideas towards all aspects of the game’s production and development
• Write robust, maintainable, and performant code

Requirements

• Exp developing games professionally, shipping AAA titles
• Exp developing games in UE4 and/or UE5
• An analytical mind, strong problem-solving skills
• Strong C++ skills, the ability to code/architect gameplay mechanics, systems, and tools
• Strong math skills
• Well-versed in games and the ability to articulate what is strong/weak about the design of existing games (an interest in online games is preferred)
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
• Console/mobile game development experience
• Experience working on a live service game
• Self-motivated, strong work ethic, able to work independently
• Deep interest in games
