Job Summary:

Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented experienced Quality Control Inspector. In this role, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that all products meet our established requirements for reliability and workmanship, as well as other quality control program standards.

Job Duties:

  • Perform the In-process and Final inspections and tests on the product in accordance with the appropriate testing procedures and any other relevant instructions and procedures that may be established for a particular project, including fabrication and electrical integration
  • Complete the itemized portions of the Inspection Report
  • Record all discrepancies for evaluation and correction
  • Upon completion of each test, sign-off (initial) that each applicable item has been completed
  • Sign and date the Certificate of Inspection label and Traveler, after the inspection is complete and all variances are corrected or resolved to the satisfaction of the Project Manager
  • Follow all applicable Quality Assurance Procedures (QAP) and Quality Testing Procedures
  • Assist in training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence
  • Proposing improvements to the production process
  • Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that does not meet requirements
  • Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and electrical schematics
  • Comprehension and operation of electrical measuring equipment, including but not limited to digital multimeter, phase monitor, and dielectric strength testing equipment (Hipot/Megger)
  • Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans
  • Determining the causes of product defects and reworks
  • Maintain all test equipment calibrations and calibration log
  • Understanding functionality of basic electrical components
  • Energize electrical equipment up 480VAC, and or 125VDC and perform functional tests as required
  • Coordination and Support of customers during FAT process


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year experience with electrical amp; fabrication inspection and testing required, and or relevant on the job experience required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills required
  • Keen attention to detail required
  • Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications required
  • Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers, and computers required
  • In-depth understanding of quality assurance procedures required
  • Up-to-date knowledge of federal, state and industry standards, UL codes and best practices required
  • Understanding of target market and consumer needs required
  • Blueprint and electrical schematic reading capabilities required
  • Documentation and reporting skills required
  • Teamwork and collaboration required
  • Growth mindset with the ability to accept challenges required
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
  • Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two plus years’ experience with electrical inspection and testing preferred
