Job Summary:

Supports the team by entering interior and exterior selections to provide consistent workflow of the home building process.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review initial Spec Start Packet from sales team for inventory homes; verifies accuracy of information prior to entering options in Envision system.
  • Coordinate selections/options for Inventory/Spec homes; enter Change Orders and submit Selections Sheets/Diagrams by specific deadline to ensure building process is not delayed.
  • Help complete exterior color selections for all communities.
  • Meet with Vendors with Design Studio Manager.
  • Help keep color selections up to date with Design Studio Manager.
  • Maintain Design Studio samples in a workable and organized manner.
  • Work with the Design Studio Manager and Purchasing team on product maintenance and updates.
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties, including data entry.
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve construction issues that relate to design selections.
  • Help communicate product changes to and track updates to interactive visualizer scenes.
  • Facilitate the following customer appointments if a need arises:
    • Presale Previews Conduct tour and overview of options for prospective buyers

o Previews Present new home buyers with a tour and presentation of Included Features and Optional Upgrades

o Color Sessions Coordinate and finalize all color selections required for home building process by a given deadline

  • Assists with day-to-day operations in the absence of the Design Studio Manager.
  • Assists with special projects as requested, and perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) with at least one year of relevant course study including seminars and workshop combined with a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training; general knowledge of home building industry relative to designs and color coordination.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong customer service-oriented personality and ability to work well with others for interaction with a variety of people inside and outside of the organization.
  • Good verbal and written communication and time management/organization skills, as well as detail-oriented aptitude to provide accurate information.
  • Design background preferred with general knowledge of blueprint and plot map reading to assist in the selection process.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
