Head of CommercialAlida Biosciences is seeking a bold and energetic individual who has a passion for genomic advances and wants to shape a young company’s portfolio and market entry. We are currently looking for an experienced commercial leader who will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy to introduce Alida Bio’s core technology to academic, translational and clinical research markets. The commercial lead will collaborate closely with senior leadership and build a network of collaborations and partnerships. Responsibilities- Shape go-to-market strategy, develop a sales process and lead the team in engaging, structuring, negotiating, and closing deals with early customers.
- Identify, engage, negotiate, and execute strategic partnerships that fulfill company objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for business growth, identifies new markets, opportunities, and partnerships to drive revenue and business model.
- Establish value added relationships with key partners, clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the marketing lead to develop and execute marketing campaigns and branding initiatives that support the organization's commercial objectives.
- Responsible for forecasting revenue targets and tracking performance against goals.
- Work collaboratively with leadership team, Ramp;D, marketing and operations to gather client insights that will define future product roadmap priorities.
Requirements
- PhD in genomics or a related field paired with significant business leadership experience, or Bachelors degree in genomics or a related field plus MBA.
- Typically 10+ years in-depth knowledge and experience in genomics markets.
- Strong scientific and technical acumen in genomics and NGS (next generation sequencing) products is a must.
- Strategic thinker able to translate strategic plans into action. Confidence navigating nascent markets and ability to identify growth opportunities. Strong executive presence.
- Experience managing deals from inception to close, achieving milestones through strong leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with legal and other stakeholders to define, negotiate and close complex agreements.
- Experience in conducting financial planning, modeling, pricing and analysis and championing the business case with Senior Management.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into marketing messages and content that resonates with key customers and thought leaders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills both written and verbal, with experience effectively influencing, communicating and networking at all levels within an organization
- Flexibility to travel.
