We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Box Truck Driver to join our team at Making A Difference Foundation. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting various items and making deliveries to our valued customers, including pickups from vendors and donations from community donors. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, as well as assisting with warehouse duties during non-driving times.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid Washington State driver's license (CDL preferred but not required) with a good driving record
- A Washington State Driving Record from the Department of Licensing
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations
- The ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external clients
- The ability to work effectively under stressful conditions
- The ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and walk up one flight of stairs
- Experience driving large vehicles, with experience in box trucks being a plus
- The ability to operate forklifts and tractors in various weather and traffic conditions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- A good driving record with no traffic violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations, such as traffic or weather conditions
- Willingness to submit to background and drug checks, as well as provide employment recommendations
- A trucking school diploma
- A valid truck driving license
- $20-25 a hour
