About the Role:Asacategory analystand self-starter, you will be dedicated to excellence in food quality andtaste. This is a unique opportunity to participate in creating and bringing to market a wonderful food experience. This will give you exposure to vendors, item set up, negotiations, product placement, pricing, and much more all focused on fresh food go-to-market strategies. As an analyst your hard work and dedication to driving repeat sales with our guestswillhelp deliver great experiences in both our Foxtrot amp; Dom's Kitchen Market stores.
Category Analystwillhelp with the development and implementation of the various category strategies in delivering profitable growth. The ideal analystloves creating and sustaining product lines that maximize profitability andcreate a best-in-class experience for our guests. Responsibilities:- Measured and rewarded by your ability to delivergreat service by helping drive optimal operations and helping achieve financial targets
- Analyzing data and insights to determine industry and consumer trends, using this data and experience to suggest sound business decisions around product offerings,pricing,presentation, and categoriesto the category management team
- Supporting category management team in monitoring product movement and identifying opportunities
- Maintaining a comprehensive item catalog with a keen eye for detail
- Assisting with day-to-day merchandising to ensure a smooth shopping experience
- Ad-hoc planogram maintenance
- Analyzing and generating reporting tools to review sales performanceDeveloping and evaluating the success of in-store promotional efforts
- Open to learning and growing for personal development
- Empowered to help our teamsdeliver a transformative shopping experience
Qualifications:- 2+ years’ leader experience in retail, hospitality or restaurant as a category analyst or similar role
- 4-yearcollege degree, business management or equivalent experience preferred
- Solid knowledge of category analytics, marketing, and sales principals
- Excellent communication, organizational, peopleand planning skills
- Strong cognitive skills, includingdata andproblem analysis, decision making, forecasting methods,and financial analysis
- Advanced computer skills and proficient with MicrosoftOfficeSuite with a mastery of Excel
- Sense of urgency, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to maintain composure, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Availability must reflect the needs of the business, which may change from time to time
