We are seeking a highly organized and tech-savvy Virtual Assistant to support software engineering professionals in navigating the job application process. The ideal candidate will assist with researching job opportunities, submitting applications, and tracking progress across multiple platforms.
You will play a critical role in streamlining and optimizing the job search journey, ensuring timely submissions and maximizing interview opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify relevant software engineering job openings based on client preferences (skills, location, remote/hybrid, level, etc.)
- Customize and submit job applications, including resumes and cover letters, based on the job description
- Maintain a detailed application tracker (e.g., in Google Sheets) with status updates, follow-up schedules, and feedback logs
- Apply across job boards (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, Dice, AngelList, Hired, etc.)
- Schedule interviews and send reminders to the client
- Provide weekly summary reports and metrics of application efforts
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a virtual assistant or job bidder role, preferably in tech or recruiting
- Strong understanding of the software engineering job market, roles (e.g., Frontend, Backend, DevOps, Full Stack), and key platforms
- Excellent English communication and writing skills, especially for professional email and resume edits
- Fast learner, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Possess personal laptop for performing assistant job
