Devops Engineer / Cloud Engineer / Global Remote Part-Time 2

About the Role
We are looking for a part-time, long-term DevOps Engineer to support and manage our cloud infrastructure and monitoring stack. You will be responsible for maintaining reliable, secure, and scalable environments using AWS, Docker, and modern observability tools.

Responsibilities

Manage and optimize AWS EC2 instances and related cloud services

Deploy and maintain Elasticsearch clusters with Kibana dashboards

Implement and monitor Prometheus + Grafana for system metrics and alerting

Use AWS CLI for automation, scripting, and daily operations

Containerize and manage services with Docker

Set up and maintain GitLab pipelines (CI/CD) for deployment automation

Troubleshoot, monitor, and improve system reliability and performance

Document configurations and processes for future scalability

Required Skills & Experience

1. Proven experience with AWS (EC2, CLI)
2. Strong knowledge of Elasticsearch + Kibana
3. Hands-on experience with Prometheus + Grafana monitoring stack
4. Solid Docker skills (building, running, managing containers)
5. Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
6. Good command of Linux server administration
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
8. Good English communication (written and spoken)

Nice to Have

1. Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
2. Knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS, k8s deployments)
3. Security best practices for cloud environments

Engagement

1. Remote, part-time (approx. 15–20 hrs/week)
2. Long-term collaboration with possibility of expansion
3. Flexible working hours with some overlap with Singapore Time Zone
