Position Summary
This role will report directly to the Head of Mobile Marketing Partnerships as part of the Channel Marketing team, within our Mobile Marketing organization.
The Senior Manager, Mobile Marketing Partnerships is a critical member of the Mobile Marketing team – you will have visibility and influence over every product and campaign launched by Samsung in the USA with executive visibility along every step of the way.
You’ll need a strategic mindset but will also need a focus on execution with a sense of urgency. By their nature, Partnerships are only successful with win-win outcomes, so you’ll have a high degree of EQ to be able to anticipate, understand and react to individuals across the Samsung and Partner organization.
As a senior member of the team you will be accountable for not only identifying and executing partnerships, but ensuring these are fully realized and amplified across all of Samsung’s channels.
Role and Responsibilities
General Responsibilities:
Identify the right partnerships that align with specific campaigns and device launches. Map specific Partners to campaign and launch objectives, audiences and sales
Identify synergies between Partnerships and our Carrier/Retail account teams and their specific needs to ensure that Carriers/Retailers achieve their goals, and we amplify Partnerships using their scale and resources
Work closely with Finance to ensure all plans are within budget, and all approvals handled within compliance Manage
Ensure that the x-functional team across the organization is fully aware of which Partnerships are live, and in progress. Develop best practice around information sharing and evangelizing
Negotiate & execute commercial terms & contracts to secure partnerships – working with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Finance, Compliance and Procurement
Take end-to-end accountability for bringing Partnerships to life in marketing. Whilst you’ll be working with other stakeholders, you will be accountable for the ultimate success of your Partners
Track, analyze and report against marketing/Partnerships KPIs and metrics, and take corrective action where needed
Take a consultative role for multiple internal stakeholders – be a source of expertise in Partnerships and Business Development
Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications/Skills:
BA/BS degree in marketing, communications or business management
8 years+ in Partnership Marketing, Partnerships, Business Development, Account Management or Channel Sales Management
Ability to negotiate contracts with a strong bias for up-holding legal, compliance and financial policies and following proper procedure
An iterative thinker who can challenges the status quo
Consummate collaborator committed to communication excellence
Business development/Partnerships/Account Management experience negotiating complex deals with large, international companies
Experience working with technology platforms and internet brands
Existing connections and relationships with the world’s leading media & internet brands
Ability to think strategically about issues, leading to recommendations and action plans
Ability to think quickly and make decisions, sometimes without all the necessary information
Comfortable presenting at CxO level
Strong project/program management experience
