Job Description

Are you an independent self-starter who is focused on driving Executive Programs with senior government/partner leaders, industry groups and think tanks within the US National Security (NatSec) ecosystem? As the Technical Program Manager, you will drive initiatives in support of creating strategic opportunities through close partnership with NatSec account teams, Amazon executives and public policy. The role requires a team player with focus on engaging with senior stakeholders to transform their IT strategy and improve mission capabilities through use of Amazon Web Services. You will identify and work to remove blockers to business; develop business winning strategies and proactive messaging to promote our customers' successes in the cloud environments; and help establish AWS as the leader in cloud computing and cloud enabled technologies for the Federal government.

On your team, you will operate in in the areas between account, service, professional service, and architecture teams driving the process to meet a goal. You will function like a chief operating officer. Your program management expertise will translate ideas into action. Your communication and coordination skills will bring the best out of matrixed, cross-sector teams. And your ability to deliver tangible, successful outcomes will transform the Intelligence Community for years to come.


'This role will require a person who has experience with and understanding of National Security customers and project/program management experience. They will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and keeping track of the details of many projects at the same time. They will have a track record of driving results in undefined and quickly changing situations. The ideal candidate will possess a business background (and/or relevant mission experience) that enables them to drive an engagement at a senior executive level. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.
Core Responsibilities:
· Responsible for managing the lifecycle of complex cross-functional programs with considerable impact for National Security customers
· Validate, prioritize, communicate, and track the delivery of customer requirements for solutions
· Track status and drive forward team progress across a myriad of complex, interwoven programs to ensure focused development on value-added efforts
· Coordinate strategic engagements with cross-functional teams, including AWS subject matter experts, account teams, solutions architects, and professional service engineers
· Uses technical judgment to inform technology and business trade-offs

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Job Specification

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BA/BS degree required.
· 7+ years of working within the US National Security ecosystem.
· 3+ years experience managing complex technology projects, including the full-life cycle of new capability development.
· Current, active US Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level with Polygraph

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of experience in program management, with a record of being detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of successful delivery of IT solutions as a team leader
· Strong written and verbal skills tailored for executive audiences
· Ability to collaborate with and coordinate cross-functional teams, government and industry, senior and operational stakeholders, and business and technical audiences
· In-depth experience with DoD Intel and/or Intelligence Community mission space
· Self-motivated with a great sense of urgency and follow-through
· Ability to multi-task and work many opportunities simultaneously
· Bachelors or Master’s Degree with coursework in computer science and or business; MBA a plus
· Strong understanding of and experience working in cloud computing; AWS certifications (e.g. Certified Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect) a plus
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity
