Job Description
Position Summary
The position is responsible for coordinating with vendors to remedy any defects or issues with material coming into the facility to be used in the manufacturing process.
Role and Responsibilities
Perform periodic audits of Supplier Quality Systems for the purpose of assuring continued vendor conformance to the quality system requirements.
Using the Statistical Process Control (SPC), Advanced Quality Process (AQP) tools and the Metrics.
Proactively identify and help implement improvement to the Supplier Quality and Supplier Quality Tools and Processes.
Promote the use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and continuous improvement techniques at local vendors to help them reduce variability and achieve process control.
Train local vendors to effectively execute countermeasures.
Initiate and follow-up countermeasures in partnership with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure complete and effective root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Responsible for driving the countermeasure process for all local vendors.
Develop positive relationships and effective lines of communication with local vendors: Partnership-oriented arrangements.
Help establish and deploy a Closed-Loop Quality Management Systems that integrates all process modules (Audit, Non-conformance tracking, CAPA and lastly Change Control) and ensures completion
Manage the local vendors Quality metrics such as:
Non Conformance Tracking (Reject Rate)
Quality Trouble Requests (QTR)
Countermeasure Quality Scorecard (CMR’s)
Work closely with the Purchasing Group to establish and maintain a Supplier Quality Scorecard (This is part of a bigger Supplier Scorecard that includes Delivery, Cost, Partnership, Advanced Quality Planning and Quality)
