RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Architecture
Establish and maintain a multi-year technology roadmap
Optimize current retail technology portfolio through architecture planning and execution
Identify new technology to enable strategic business priorities and objectives
Define and own architecture standards for Samsung Mobile Retail
Partner with Samsung big data team to optimize data capture, tracking, access and reporting
Partner with Samsung Data Science on the design and build of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities
Collaborate across Samsung divisions on bringing new technology innovations to market
Produce actionable insights from data captured to enhance next generation of retail experiences
Participate in various technology communities, past track record of participation in seminars/forums, keeping updated on evolving technologies, awareness of thought leaders of the industry
Technical Management
Manage Digital Experience Projects deployed globally across 10βs of thousands of retail locations
Engage internal and external teams, including R&D, channel teams, Carrier teams, and vendor development teams to deliver projects and programs
Create data visualizations and dashboards to assess to assess solution performance and results
Perform ad-hoc scripting queries and investigate systems logs and troubleshoot
Work with external channel partners to define technical requirements for digital experience
Assess technical feasibility of delivering creative marketing design concepts
Ensure standard operating procedures and project guidelines are in place
Manage daily/weekly maintenance requests related to retail demo projects
Hold weekly meetings with Samsung R&D and Retail Experience teams
Facilitate weekly project status tracking and reporting
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, ability to meet with executives internal/external to sell in ideas and provide status updates
Digital Experience Innovation
Create immersive never been done before experiences using AR, VR, O2O and personalization
Mature integration between Samsung Retail and Samsung Ecommerce systems and teams
Personalize and tailor solutions to meet evolving customer expectations and needs
Establish the architecture and solutions needed to enable real-time personalized offers
Lead design and development sessions with Samsung R&D on new innovation and concepts
Drive new ways to engage shoppers across our product portfolio through technology
Retail Understanding
Understand retail projects and manage them successfully
Evaluate, select and manage vendors working on retail demo projects (includes creative and technology driven projects)
Understand the current external retail environment and leading technology enablers
Work as a liaison between Samsung R&D team and tech vendors on APK development projects
Understand mobile technology and how devices interact (Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi direct, etc.
Conduct surveys and reporting metrics and dashboards to assess the performance of digital experiences
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with 15+ years of directly related experience is required. [or Masterβs Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with 12-15 years of directly related experience]
Must have extensive experience in multiple SDLCs, including Enterprise Agile, SOA strategies, open source technologies and other technology driven business enablers
TOGAF9 and/or SEI Certification is desired
8+ years of experience as a software, data or enterprise architect
3+ years of hands-on programming/scripting languages such as Java, Javascript, HTML, SQL.
3+ years of managing app (APK/IOS/Windows) development projects
Experience with AWS cloud CMS is plus
Mobile industry or consumer electronics retail experience preferred
Experience launching bleeding and leading-edge technology solutions in retail
Experience in troubleshooting technical issues arising from Mobile applications/Web applications/device OS, and Network.
Experience with managing application development projects in a retail setting
Strong influencing skills without having direct reporting authority over resources
Experience directly managing external vendors is preferred
Experience with digital projects involving multi-devices or multi-screens is a plus
Experience with IoT, Augmented Reality, and Artificial Intelligence projects is plus
Must have experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite
PMP, Certified Scrum Master or equivalent Certification preferred
Must have experience with JIRA Confluence and SQL
