Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for the supervision and tracking of daily ecommerce reverse operations and overall inventory control of the eCommerce Space. This role will maintain relationships across logistics, warehouse and SEA business unit employees to ensure inventory is maintained at an accurate level, and reverse operations are completed within the required KPIs. This role will actively manage the reverse logistics operations and inventory control for SEA eCommerce and identify areas for performance improvements. Problems and issues faced are vague, and require reasoning of a broader set of issues and variables to identify root cause within the job area. Applies in-depth advanced knowledge and skills of a specific/specialized technical area with understanding of external factors that may affect the area of responsibility. Provides expert advice, coaching and counseling within the particular discipline/function area. This role will also serve as the POC for Samsung.com support operations.

Role and Responsibilities

Track and trace returns shipments and RMAs daily and proactively advise business units of any delays.

Coordinate with 3PL operations, SEA business units, and internal logistics partners to ensure issues are resolved immediately.

Partner with 3PL vendor in executing day to day reverse operations, offering support and guidance for any issues that arise

Responsible for solving complex technical problems and responds to complex requests from internal and external customers.

Partner with internal SEA eCommerce team and 3PL to identify and develop process improvements in the reverse logistics space, with a focus on improving customer experience and reducing cost

Monitor and oversee inventory control processes to ensure accuracy is within the necessary KPIs

Issue resolution, including Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Actions and the efficacy of those actions

Coordinate with SEA business units, engineering teams, and 3PL to identify and develop systemic and process improvements necessary to maintain a high level of inventory accuracy and reduce cost in the 3PL IC operations

Manage and develop more junior eCom staff.

Generate and present weekly KPI reports for designated areas

Participate in development of warehouse budgets and controls labor costs.

Maintain warehouse in full compliance with all federal, State and local regulatory safety, labor, worker's compensation and health.

Makes decisions within guidelines and policies. Is accountable for the contributions of the project team.

Job Specification

Skills and Qualifications

A four year Bachelor's Degree with 6-10 years of directly related experience or a two year degree with 10-15 years of experience is required. Prior experience in high volume reverse logistics operations is required. 2-4 years of inventory control experience is required. Prior management experience preferred. Must have Microsoft Office Suite of PC software applications experience with Excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint preparation skills.

This position requires a candidate with the proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and create original analysis. Strong interpersonal and consensus building skills.

Experience with development, implementing and monitoring of performance metrics

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated ability to interact with senior levels within the organization and with external contacts.

Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to facilitate Best-In-Class operations.

Solid background in developing and implementing new processes and systems that both improve customer experience and reduce overall cost.

Works closely with support Staff (eCommerce operations, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, Order Management and other Logistics members) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives, as well as providing needed support and resources for other Staff initiatives.

3PL background or someone who has managed 3PL relationships at a strategic level for 3+ years.

Inspirational leader with the ability to engage the team and 3PL management to resolve issues through collaborative problem solving

Experience in high-volume automated operations. Including development, selection and installation of equipment

Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and presentation skills with an ability to lead meetings and prepare presentations with internal & external Stakeholders and/or customers

Experience working simultaneously with various cultures preferred.

Strong understanding of wireless products and services preferred.

Ability to manage vendor service contracts with constant evaluation and monitoring of service levels.

Quick thinking and able make decisions for quick corrective action ensuring problems are overcome.

Self-Starter who works well under limited direction. Ability to work independently with high degree of initiative and drive.

Detail oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.

Must have track record and ability to develop individuals and establish positive team dynamics.
