Job Description

We are seeking a smart and professional Senior Financial Analyst with solid financial, analytical, and planning skills to support our Corporate Finance Team in Chicago. Reporting to a Senior Finance Manager, this person will oversee billing processes, financial analysis, reporting, and revenue recognition.Responsibilities:
  • Administer billing process, including fee reconciliation and client invoicing
  • Ensure timely submission of invoices and supporting documentation to client
  • Manage and oversee the completion of quarterly and monthly forecasts
  • Calculate and track monthly revenues based on active contracts and client billings
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts and corresponding scope of work
  • Partner with senior account teams in pricing client proposals and budget development
  • Review and approve client budgets and upload properly into financial system
  • Support client reporting, audit requests, and data collection
  • Process purchase orders and run financial queries upon request
  • Review expense write-offs and unbilled WIP, and communicate with account staff on billing and accounts receivable issues
  • Follow up on outstanding receivables and work with staff to secure payment
  • Assist in collecting commentary on uncollected and past due invoices
  • Coordinate financial allocations cross office (domestic and global)
  • Ensure department compliance with company financial policies (e.g. revenue recognition, job requisitions, time entry, travel and expense, credit, billing, accounts payable, new business)
  • Train account staff on internal finance systems, procedures and financial project management
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to internal teams for Adhoc projects
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 3+ years of Finance or Accounting experience, preferably in an agency setting
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Client service oriented and fosters positive working relationships
  • Well organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail, follows through on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to articulate financial concepts in layman’s terms
