About the Opportunity
This leadership role at Confluent will act as a critical catalyst, shaping the long-term people strategy for the Field Operations organization in partnership with the President of Field Operations. As the Director, People Business Partners, we are looking for a practiced, passionate, and pragmatic operator who can bring thought leadership, strategic thinking, and experience with executive coaching, OD/OE, manager enablement, and team effectiveness initiatives. The ideal candidate will recall a history of success managing matrixed change strategies, influencing stakeholders at all levels, and developing and executing a results-oriented plan within a high-growth global environment. This position reports to our Head of Global People Business PartnersWhat You’ll Achieve
  • Design organization and people strategy initiatives in alignment with the business need
  • Advise amp; collaborate with senior leadership to develop the organization's goals and strategy related to employee engagement, development, org planning and retention.
  • Lead change management processes as the company shifts from hypergrowth to scale
  • Partner with other People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition Partners, Total Rewards, and People Operations to generate and execute a strong, cross-functional people and talent plan
  • Assist in aligning People amp; Talent strategy with critical business priorities to drive resultsImprove manager capabilities through coaching and implementation of management enablement best practices and programs
  • Use data to measure success: learn, iterate, and improve; analyze trends and develop proactive actions
  • Communicate with a diverse population and flex your style according to the audience
What We're Looking For
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience
  • 10+ years of HR Business Partner Experience, including both direct client support and management coaching experience
  • Experience supporting a SaaS GTM team and a working proficiency with sales compensation
  • Demonstrated competence in the various HR functional areas, especially organizational design/organizational effectiveness, executive coaching, and change management
  • Strong balance of IQ and EQ with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment and work autonomously
  • Successful history managing multiple complex issues and prioritizing projects concurrently
