Our platform and Internet-scale architecture work together to provide a complete picture of customers, execute cross-channel campaigns, and connect with a worldwide ecosystem of over 100 partners.Amobee is looking for an experienced Director, Software Engineering to lead the bidding platform, one of the core product engineering teams. You will manage a team of engineers, set directions for the engineers, ensure the features are built with highest quality and work with extended Product and Service engineering teams.As the lead for the bidding platform, you will be responsible for a very large system (2000+ servers) that receives several millions of requests a second and responds within 100 ms, while ensuring all these requests are tracked as they directly impact revenue.Responsibilities - Manage the day-to-day feature tasks of the teams via daily stand-up and scrum meetings.
- Mentor and guide engineers on software engineering best practices.
- Have a very strong understanding of architecture and design and provide leadership in this area.
- Work closely with software engineering managers, product managers, technical operations, UE/UX, and PMO to coordinate and ensure overall health of the running system.
Required Qualifications- 3+ years managing high-performance, high-output teams in an online scalable environment.
- 3 - 5 years managing projects across multiple teams to successful delivery and operational support.
- Knowledge and applied experience working in a distributed system environment
- Several years hands-on experience in either Java, Python, C++, C#.
- Several years building and scaling online Java, Python, C++ or C# applications.
- Several years experience in a large-scale Linux deployment.
- Several years experience building testable, peer reviewed, on time production quality work. Creating and running such a process preferred.
- Experience in a competitive, fast-paced challenging development environment is a must.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in the advertising industry
- Experience in a SaaS environment
- Experience in a data analytics and visualization environment
- MS or PhD in Computer Science or related field
