Position Summary
The Senior Salesforce Administrator supports the business operations of the company through administration and development of Thycotic’s CRM solution, Salesforce.com. This role works collaboratively with others to translate business requirements into technical designs and requires the business acumen to match.
The ideal candidate should have the ability to prioritize multiple work streams, communicate well with stakeholders and implementation partners, execute in a fast-paced environment, and be eager to learn.
You will play a key role in developing and administrating custom solutions that are highly usable, scalable, and maintainable. You will be responsible for designing solutions, owning the engineering, testing, release, and support of the applications. This role will report to the Director of Sales Operations. Washington, DC headquarters is preferred however, a remote location is possible for the right candidate.Key Responsibilities
  • Work with non-technical business leaders to translate their business requirements into usable, scalable Salesforce solutions
  • Support multiple departments in all phases of Salesforce development, including requirements gathering, solution design, deployment, and support
  • Design, implement and manage new and existing Salesforce features including user management, roles/profiles, permission sets, custom objects, page layouts, custom fields, formula fields, validations, workflows rules, email templates, process builder, flows, Lightning pages, custom metadata types
  • Quickly learn and communicate the role of the custom apex code in Thycotic’s Salesforce org as it pertains to learning, documenting, and debugging system automation
  • Provide guidance to Salesforce Administrators in technical problem-solving and solution design
  • Collaborate with the Sales Operations team as a whole to maintain good system organization, improve data hygiene and prepare for system updates
  • Guide stakeholders through user acceptance testing of solutions
  • Create and maintain technical documentation of Salesforce processes and, in some cases, end user how-to documentation
  • Ensure effective data flow between Salesforce.com and integrated systems by providing technical support of installed package workflows and APIs
  • Stay current on new Salesforce features to provide recommendations for process improvements

Skills and Requirements
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Salesforce administration, development, and change management, including working with an enterprise-level Salesforce org
  • In-depth understanding of the architecture, capabilities and constraints of the Salesforce platform coupled with good understanding of business processes
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator certification required
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator OR Platform Developer I certification required
  • Experience working with CPQ and/or CPQ Specialist certification is a major plus
  • Experience with Service Cloud desired
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or business experience and discipline that demonstrates equivalent talent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to effectively communicate in both layman’s and technical terms
  • Proven excellence in problem-solving and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Experience implementing and running installed packages and/or connected apps
  • Experience with Apex, Visualforce, Custom Lightning Components, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Advanced Usage of Salesforce Data Management Tools and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in training and engaging with users to drive adoption
