Atlassian is seeking a Senior Associate to work on helping us launch new ventures and help with strategic projects in our core Confluence, Trello and Growth product teams. This is the opportunity for you if you consider yourself a self starter, adaptable, highly organized and analytical. You'd be challenged to "zoom-out" to understand market trends / emerging business models, but then also "zoom in" and roll up your sleeves to work with product and GTM teams to accelerate growth.
At Atlassian, the Strategy amp; Business Operations team is a high impact and visible team that works closely with product amp; business leaders across the company. You'll be tasked with supporting the development of new products such that they contribute to the company’s growth. Additionally, you'll work on our Work Management for All portfolio by supporting current SBO leads on ad hoc projects.
This role needs someone who's able to adapt to changing requirements, an evolving environment and who can build and craft this role in a way that adds everlasting value to Atlassian Intrapreneurs, the New Product Framework and the Work Management for All portfolio. In this role, you'll get to:

• Advise on the New Product Framework (~30% of the role to start, growing over time):
• Support new ventures along the full investment cycle - from refining initial pitches to founders and C-level executives, to validating market opportunities, to building early financial models and consulting on market entry strategy
• Drive customer research to help inform on product and go-to-market strategies
• Build high level financial models to develop insights and drive recommendations
• Proactively advance, and execute upon improvements to the New Product framework to drive maximum impact
• Keep abreast with market trends, formulate disruptive business models, identify trends and competitors in order to shape potential new areas for future investment
• "Work Management for All" portfolio (~70% of the role to start, decreasing over time):
• Own strategy and business operations projects across the Work Management for All portfolio

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in consulting, strategy, venture capital, investment banking
• Adept in articulately communicating and debating recommendations at the executive level
• Experience with sizing markets, assessing competitive landscape, crafting market entry strategies and interpreting / developing business goals and OKRs
• Have a deep knowledge of Atlassian products and offerings, competitive landscape and company strategy
• Be confident with data and ambiguity, and be able to both delve into the details and engage meaningfully on higher level strategy
• Have strong proficiency in Excel
• Be passionate about helping new ventures grow at scale
• Have effective financial modeling and analytical skills
