Partner Marketing ManagerLocation: Ottawa, ON | Minneapolis, MN
Why you?
Do you want to help shape Pythian’s and Google’s joint go-to-market efforts with Google Cloud? As a Partner Marketing Manager and as a member of Pythian’s Marketing team, you will play an integral role in contributing to the success and explosive growth of our Google Cloud practice.
Working closely and collaboratively with Marketing, Offerings and Business Development, you will take the lead to create and execute marketing plans to drive revenue growth and utilize available partner funding. You will be planning and organizing special events and sponsorships, creating sales tools and related co-branded marketing collateral, and building and preparing program status reports.
You will provide support through a wide range of activities which will include coordination, execution and management of marketing programs to recruit, engage and retain Pythian partners, coordination of partner and partner prospect communications, budget reporting, managing partner-specific activities, collateral, web presence and tools, delivering corporate sponsored events among other ongoing activities.

  • Drive Pythian’s partner lead generation and field marketing activities, and ongoing communications.
  • Help plan and organize events and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Work with Marketing Managers to build seller enablement collateral ensuring all Google Cloud partner-related campaigns remain Pythian brand relevant that meet both Partner and Pythian brand standards.
  • Enhance Pythian’s partner marketing strategy and partner lead generation efforts.
  • Maintain up-to-date versioning and supplies of Google Cloud related sales and marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with Google field professionals and marketing team members to represent and grow Pythian’s presence and promote Pythian’s services.
  • Oversee and execute the partner marketing campaigns to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget and the activity calendar is kept up to date in collaboration with Pythian’s marketing team.
  • Prepare and circulate status reports detailing results of Pythian’s Google Cloud specific marketing efforts.
  • Set up tracking systems and campaign codes for marketing activities.
  • Carry out related marketing support tasks as required by Business Development, including tracking and reporting metrics.
  • Research, coordinate, and execute Pythian partner-related online and field events and related activities.
  • Assist with managing outside suppliers as required.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with internal and external business partners.
  • Research, prepare, develop, edit and arrange production and distribution of print and electronic materials including: newsletters, website content, invitations, e-mails, brochures, reports, and PowerPoint presentations as required.
  • Management of Business Development accounts amp; services profiles in the partner community including Oracle PartnerNetwork amp; Microsoft PartnerNetwork portals among others.
  • Management of the Pythian partner portal, ensuring relevant and up to date content.
What do we need from you?
  • While we understand you might not have everything on the list, to be successful you are likely to have skills such as:
  • Bachelor's Degree or similar in Communications, Marketing, or Advertising.
  • 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in similar partner marketing, advertising, or marketing analytics role in an IT setting.
  • Understanding of the growing purpose of public cloud platforms.
  • Experience working in a B2B marketing setting, working with technology partners and channels.
  • Understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models.
  • Understanding of current trends in software and cloud deployment options.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Be highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Highly collaborative, able to effectively work across functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital channels and digital marketing strategies.
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Hubspot, and other sales and marketing platforms.
  • Moderate analysis skills in Google Sheets/Excel including using pivot tables etc.
