Job Description

The Associate Vice President (AVP), Investments position, with a focus on CIM’s credit investment platform, is based at our corporate headquarters in Los Angeles and works closely with the Investments team and others to originate and/or source credit investments, conduct financial analysis and underwriting, and monitor the existing portfolio. The AVP, Investments role is an integral part of the CIM team. You’ll work in a supportive, growth-oriented environment and gain valuable exposure to CIM’s wide range of asset types and investment platforms in addition to each element of the capital stack. Project types may include office, hotel, for-rent and for-sale residential, industrial, data centers, retail, entertainment/media, parking, signage, and infill land development, among others. In addition to focusing on credit investments, you also may gain experience with direct acquisitions, joint venture investments, and public-private partnerships. This position will have significant exposure to CIM’s growing real asset credit products in sourcing, financial analytics, underwriting and portfolio monitoring.In this role, you’ll be responsible for assisting in the origination effort and evaluating primarily credit investments as well as preparing investment committee memorandums and related support. You’ll also underwrite potential acquisition and development opportunities, manage the transaction due diligence and closing processes, and monitor existing investments. Top performers in this position are dedicated, self-motivated individuals with investment experience, an interest in learning, a strong academic record and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Master of Business Administration from a top-tier business school or at least five years of prior work experience
