INTECON is seeking a Senior Communications Product Specialist to provide best value healthcare and professional consulting services to the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Qualified candidates will have experience providing communications and public relations support related to veterans healthcare.

Responsibilities:- Developing and delivering targeted communications and supporting public relations for internal and external communications related to the Veterans Administration
- Developing information output, press releases, and media requests
- Supporting material development for social media and other advertising
Requirements
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Studies in Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, or related discipline preferred
Required Experience:
- Eligibility to obtain Veterans Affairs (VA) suitability approval to access agency computer systems and facilities required to start work; current VA credentials preferred
- 8+ years of communications and public relations experience for a variety of healthcare organizations; Veterans Administration preferred.
- Experience working with communication modalities within a clinical and/or healthcare operational environment
- Experience developing and distributing targeted communications to internal and external audiences including press releases, media requests, social media, and advertising
- Experience supporting stakeholders to make informed decisions at the strategic and operational levels
- Ability to clearly communicate and exchange information with co-workers, teammates, stakeholders, and other personnel, as required
- Proficiency working across the Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- This job operates in a professional office environment with prolonged periods sitting at a desk, attending meetings, and using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and video teleconferencing equipment.
- This is a largely sedentary role; however, the ability to move office items such as files, laptop/computer equipment, meeting materials, and other work supplies may require carrying and lifting items up to 15 pounds at times.
- Business travel may be required.
